SYRIA: British Journalist Shown in New ISIS Video Saying it’s “Last in This Series”
ISIS has released a new video in which John Cantlie, a captive British journalist, acts as though is reporting on Aleppo in Syria.
Cantlie calls this video the “last in this series”, as he shows parts of Aleppo, stating that the destruction is caused not only by the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but it is also caused by the US led coalition airstrikes. It is known that the coalition has been targeting the ISIS. In the video, Cantlie also shows a court and a religious school where he explains that the Islamic Sharia law is about 1,400 years old. He also states that the Sharia is the supreme rule of law and the law of God and it is not subject to change.
John Cantlie was kidnapped in Aleppo in November 2012 along with James Foley, an American journalist. In August there was a video released by the ISIS showing the beheading of Foley. ISIS has made its name and has taken over huge parts of land in Syria and Iraq, carrying out barbaric killings meant to scare the international public.
